Benchmark Estimating Software has recently been selected by nbnTM, the company responsible for building Australia’s national broadband network, to provide estimating software and services for projects undertaken throughout the duration of the nbn rollout.
nbn’s decision to award the contract to Benchmark Estimating Software was based on the company’s ability to provide nbn with a flexible estimating software system that could help solve the unique and intensive estimating challenges they face.
Rob MacDonald, CEO of Benchmark Estimating Software, commented: “This is a very exciting partnership for our company. We’re looking forward to working with the nbn and being involved in this nation-transforming project that will see high-speed broadband to all Australians, no matter where they live or work.”
Work has already begun on implementing Benchmark Estimating Software at nbn and over the coming months, the system will begin to be fully utilised by the company as they move towards the full-scale rollout of the nbn.

About the National Broadband Network (nbn)
The National Broadband Network (nbn) is Australia’s first national wholesale-only, open access communications network that is being built to bring high speed broadband and telephone services within the reach of all Australian premises. The nbn will utilise three technologies; fibre, fixed wireless and satellite, expected to make possible improved ways for you to connect with one another. Within the next decade, the plan is for every home, school and workplace in the country to have access to the nbn. (Source: nbn Australia)
